Description
The Cookery Centre at Kingsthorpe Grove Lower School is a school building constructed in 1905 by the architectural firm Law and Harris. It is made of red brick with moulded terracotta dressings and features plain tile roofs with coped gables, finials, and a brick stack. The design is in a simplified Flemish renaissance style and is a single storey structure. The front of the building has glazing bar sashes and a central feature that includes three windows with a panel above inscribed "Cookery Centre." This building forms a group with the main part of the school and serves as a notable example of a separate yet integral facility for teaching home economics.
