Description

A terrace of eight cottages stands on the north side of The Green in Evenley. Dating to the late 18th century, the cottages have undergone alterations in the 19th and 20th centuries. They are constructed of uncoursed limestone rubble with a tile roof, featuring brick stacks. The terrace is arranged over two storeys with nine bays. All doorways are 20th-century replacements, and the windows are also 20th-century additions with wood or concrete lintels. The roof is tiled with alternating bands of blue and yellow tiles. The cottages are listed for their group value and represent part of the planned development of The Green in the 19th century.
