Description
These are a row of four mid-19th century townhouses on Albion Place. They are built of red brick with stucco dressings and have Welsh slate roofs finished with modillion cornices. The houses have basements and three storeys, with a band marking the first floor. Each house has two sash windows within architrave surrounds. The ground floor windows have pulvinated friezes and cornices supported by consoles; the first-floor windows have similar friezes and cornices. Number 24 has a canted bay window on the ground floor. The entrances consist of two-panel doors with fanlights, all set within surrounds of Doric pilasters, archivolts and fluted console keyblocks. Cast iron area railings are also present. Numbers 21 to 24 form a group.
