Description

Nos. 19-27 on High Street in Cranford St. John are a row of five cottages built in the early 19th century. They are constructed from coursed limestone rubble and feature a hipped roof covered with 20th-century interlocking concrete tiles. The cottages have four brick ridge stacks and are two storeys high, with a six-window range. Each cottage has a three-panelled and part-glazed door, with the entrances to Nos. 19 and 27 located in the gable ends. On either side of the doors are two-light small-paned casement windows, which may be original except for the windows at No. 27. The cottages also have segmental gauged stone heads above the windows. The interiors have not been inspected.
