Description
No. 30 West Street is an early 19th-century house located in Kings Cliffe. It is constructed of squared coursed limestone with an ashlar facade and features a gable roof covered in Welsh slate. The house has a two-unit terrace plan, with the entrance located at the rear on the right side.
The building stands two storeys high and has a three-window arrangement on the first floor, featuring 8-paned unhorned sash windows beneath gauged stone heads with keyblocks. The central window on the first floor is blind, displaying a painted glazing bar pattern. The main entrance consists of a central four-panel door with a rectangular fanlight above, all set within a stone lintel that also has a keyblock. To the right, there is a 20th-century plank door that has a similar surround. Stone stacks are present at both ends of the house. Although the interior was not inspected, it is noted that the staircase rises between the walls. This building is included for its group value.
