Description

Manor House is a building dating from the 17th and 18th centuries, with alterations made in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. It is constructed of squared coursed limestone and features a Collyweston slate roof. The house likely started as a two-unit plan and has two storeys. It has a three-window range, which includes a four-light stone mullion window with king mullions on the far left. The other windows are casements, some with leaded lights, and are set under wooden lintels. The building has ashlar gable parapets and a central lateral brick stack.

The left side of the house likely represents the original structure, featuring a one-window range of casements under wooden lintels and a central leaded fire window. There is a plank door under stone lintels on the far right. The right gable has a four-light stone mullion window on the first floor, with a late 19th or early 20th-century doorway below it. The left gable end features a three-light stone mullion window on the ground floor. The rear elevation is similar, with one three-light and one four-light stone mullion window, as well as some leaded casements. The bay on the right slightly projects forward.

Inside, the kitchen to the left of the entrance has a large open fireplace with a bressumer. A fireplace on the first floor has a moulded stone shelf, and some original roof structure is said to survive. Part of the building was used as a garden room for Polebrook Hall in the late 19th and early 20th centuries.
