Description
This is a house, dating from 1604 with later 19th-century additions, located in Barnwell. It is constructed of squared coursed limestone with a thatched roof. Originally planned as a two-unit dwelling, it now has a two-storey, two-window front. The windows are stone mullioned, with three lights each. A central plank door has a four-centred arch head and a moulded stone surround. Ashlar stacks are present at each end, with a datestone on the north stack. The rear elevation includes a single stone mullioned window and a 19th-century extension. The interior, which has not been inspected, is noted to retain remains of an open fireplace.
