Description
This building, known as No. 44 Barnwell, is a late 18th-century structure that was originally two houses, now combined into one dwelling. It is constructed of squared coursed limestone and features a thatched roof. The building has two storeys and a four-window range of 20th-century casements set in original openings, all under wooden lintels. There is a 20th-century door located to the right of the center, which is also under a wooden lintel and has been raised. Brick stacks are present at the ridge and end of the building. A 20th-century extension has been added at right angles to the rear. The interior has not been inspected. This property is part of a row that includes Nos. 45 and 46, and it is included for its group value.
