Description
This building, known as the House attached to the East Thatched Cottage, dates from the late 17th century and 18th century. It is constructed of squared coursed limestone and features a thatched roof. Originally, it likely had a three-unit plan and is now divided into two dwellings. The house is two storeys high and has a three-window range of 20th-century casements beneath wooden lintels. On the ground floor, there is a three-light stone mullion window to the left and a centre 19th-century casement with a moulded stone surround. To the left of centre, there is a plank door under a wooden lintel, and to the right of centre, there is a 20th-century door also under a wooden lintel. The building has brick and stone stacks at the ridge and end. Inside the house attached to the east, there is an open fireplace with a bressumer and stop-chamfered spine beams.
