Description

This is a late 18th-century house, consisting of two properties, number 30 and 30A, located on High Street in Wellingborough, along with an attached wall to the east of number 30. The building is constructed from squared coursed ironstone and has a slate roof. Originally designed as a two-unit dwelling, it now presents a three-storey facade with a three-window arrangement. The central entrance features a six-panelled door, a plain fanlight, and a flat stone hood. The ground and first floors have 19th-century sash windows, while the second floor retains an 18th-century sash window with glazing bars. All windows are topped with stone lintels that include keyblocks. A moulded stone cornice runs along the top of the building, and the gable ends have ashlar parapets. Brick stacks are visible at either end of the building. Adjoining number 30 to the left is number 30A, a two-storey building with a two-window range, built in a similar style and featuring a six-panelled door on its left side.
