Description

Manor Farmhouse is a late 17th-century and mid-19th century house located on Ringstead Road in Denford. The house is constructed of squared coursed limestone with a 20th-century plain-tile roof. Originally built with a two-unit plan, it is a single-storey building with an attic. The front facade has a two-window range, featuring a three-light stone mullion window to the left and a plain sash window to the right, the latter set under a stone lintel with a keyblock. There are two gabled dormers in the attic, each containing a two-light and a three-light stone mullion window; the left dormer is partly rendered. A central 19th-century plank door, topped with a rectangular fanlight, is set under a wooden lintel. The house has brick and stone stacks positioned at each end. A single-storey brick extension is attached to the left gable, while the right gable has been partially rebuilt in brick. The rear elevation includes a three-light stone mullion window. The interior was not inspected.
