Description
This is an outbuilding located approximately 2 meters west of Number 38, originally a butcher's shop and outbuildings, dating from the mid-18th century. It is constructed of squared coursed ironstone and cob, topped with a corrugated iron roof. The building is single storey and has a layout that was originally designed as a two or three-unit plan.
The elevation facing the road features one vertically glazed window with overlapping joints, and to the left, there is a stable door with strap hinges. Both the window and door are set under wooden lintels. The roof is hipped. On the left side of the building, there are four plank doors under wooden lintels, along with two casement windows in between. The section of the building that abuts the road is made of cob. While the interior has not been inspected, it likely retains the original roof structure and thatch beneath the corrugated iron. This outbuilding is included for its group value with nearby structures.
