Description

This is an early and mid-18th century house located on the north side of Main Street, Ashley. The building is constructed from regular coursed ironstone, with stone slate and plain tile roofs. It has an L-shaped layout. The front elevation, facing the road, has a single window bay and features 20th-century windows set within the original openings, each beneath a wooden lintel. A left-hand gable has an ashlar parapet, and a central hipped roof dormer is present. The rear wing has a similar appearance, with a single window bay, a 20th-century glazed porch, and ashlar gable parapets topped with brick stacks at either end. The front elevation and rear wing display different construction techniques. The interior has not been inspected. The building is included on the register for its contribution to the group value of the surrounding buildings.
