Description

The Maltings, now numbers 6-8, are farm maltings dating from the mid-19th century, likely built for Reverend Rutnery. They are situated approximately 50 metres south of Manor Farmhouse. Constructed with squared coursed ironstone on the south side and red brick on the north side, the building has a tiled roof. The design is T-shaped, with two storeys. The north side features window openings that are mostly segmentally headed. The south side presents a variety of window openings. A crosswing to the right of the main elevation is characterised by a louvred vent at the ridge. The interior was not inspected but is understood to contain cast-iron column supports for the malting floor.
