Description

This is a wall located approximately 25 meters northwest of the garden front of Kirby Hall. It is likely from the late 17th century and is constructed of squared coursed limestone. The wall serves as the northern boundary of the Great Garden. It is owned by the Winchelsea estate and is under the guardianship of Historic England. Kirby Hall itself is designated as an ancient monument and the wall is included for its group value. Additionally, the garden of Kirby Hall is listed in the Historic England County Register of Gardens at Grade II*.
