Description

This is a dovecote located approximately 40 meters northeast of The Poplars. It is likely from the early 18th century and was restored in the 19th century. The structure is made of squared coursed limestone and features a Collyweston slate roof. It has a square plan and is a single storey building. The central door, which is made of planks, dates from the 19th century and is set under a wooden lintel, with a 19th-century door opening above it. The gabled roof has a wooden glover at the apex and a pyramidal shape. Although the interior has not been inspected, it is noted to contain nesting boxes.
