Description

The walls and attached lych gate, located approximately 20 meters north, south, east, and west of the Church of St. Mary, were likely built in 1867 by Sir George Gilbert Scott. The walls are constructed of squared coursed ironstone and feature limestone ashlar coping with roll moulding. The wooden lych gate stands on an ashlar plinth and has a gabled roof covered with wooden shingles. It includes arched bracing, cusped decoration, and wooden gates. The wall surrounds the churchyard, and this structure is included for its group value.
