Description
The stables, located immediately north of The Manor House, were built around 1881, likely by R.W. Collier. They are constructed of coursed limestone with freestone dressings and feature a limestone slate roof. The roof has stone-coped gable ends with corbelled kneelers and small finials. The west gable includes an ashlar stack with a pair of shafts, moulded strings, and a cap. The building is L-shaped in plan and contains 1 and 2-light stone windows along with plank doors. The south gable of the southeast wing has a pair of doorways, a pigeon loft, and a small diamond-shaped light above in the gable. Inside, the stalls are intact and feature posts with ball finials and railings between them.
