Description
Manor Farmhouse, dating from the late 18th century and refronted in the early 19th century, is a farmhouse located on the north side of Church Way in Thorpe Malsor. It is constructed of coursed ironstone with a brick front and features a hipped concrete tile roof. The building has two brick side walls and single ridge stacks. It stands two storeys high with three bays and is designed in an L-plan.
The front of the farmhouse has windows that are glazing bar sashes with keystoned rubbed brick heads. The south front features a central reeded wooden doorcase with brackets supporting a hood, a six-fielded panelled door, and a plain fanlight. On either side of the door, there are 8/8 sash windows. Above the door, there is a central 3/6 sash flanked by two larger 4/8 sashes.
On the south side of the building, there are two 19th-century doors with two 3-light casements between them, all having brick segmental heads. Above these, to the right, are three casements with two and three lights, also featuring segmental heads. The exterior includes a low brick plinth that supports an iron spearhead railing and gate.
