Description
Bonnevie Cottage is a house dating from the late 18th century to the early 19th century. It is constructed of squared ironstone and features a thatched roof. The building has a plinth, a single coped gable, and two gable and one ridge brick stacks. It is two storeys high and has three bays in an L-plan layout.
The street-facing side has three 3-light 20th-century leaded casement windows, and above these, there is a 2-light casement window to the left and two 3-light casements to the right, all with wooden lintels. On the north-west side, there is a 19th-century 4-panel door to the left, flanked by a small casement on the left and a 2-light leaded casement on the right. To the right of this, there is a mid-20th-century plank door. Above, there is an off-centre 2-light casement with a small thatched hood, and to the right, a single casement window. All openings, except the last one, have wooden lintels. Additionally, there are two lead insurance plaques on the right side. The north-west gable features a brick and stone outbuilding with a close boarded loading door.
