Description

The churchyard cross, located approximately 8 meters west of the Chantry Chapel of All Souls, dates back to the early 14th century. It is constructed from limestone and ironstone ashlar. The cross features a circular base with four steps, the first of which has a chamfered plinth. Above this is a square socket with chamfered corners, supporting a square shaft adorned with crockets. The 20th-century capital, created by Temple Moore, depicts the Virgin and Child on one side and the Crucifixion on the opposite side.
