Description

This is a row of cottages dated 1600, likely with earlier origins. Constructed of coursed rubble with stone slate roofs, remnants of stone chimneys are visible. The row includes a mix of one and two storey properties with attics. Number 52 is two storeys, featuring a single hung sash window with glazing bars above a five-light window. Number 54 has a low doorway framed by a heavy, moulded wooden surround with stop-chamfered details. Casement windows are present throughout the row and four dormers are visible. Number 56 includes two five-light stone mullioned windows on the ground floor, alongside two dormers. The listed buildings on the east side of North Street are considered to form a group.
