Description

This is a row of four houses located on the west side of High Street in Irchester. They date from the early 18th century. Numbers 19 and 21 are constructed of squared coursed ironstone, while numbers 23 and 25 are built of regular coursed limestone, all with thatched roofs. The houses have one or two-unit plans, and together comprise a six-window facade. The windows are 19th and 20th century casements with glazing bars, set under wooden lintels, and some have eyebrow dormers. There are three 19th and 20th century doors positioned between the windows, also under wooden lintels. Brick stacks are located at the ridge and end of the building. The left gable of number 19 has been renewed in brick. A thatched wing, dating back to the 18th century, is located at the rear of number 19. The interior was not inspected.
