Description
The building is a cottage that also serves as a post office, dating from the 18th century, with a rear wing added in the 19th century. It is constructed of coursed limestone rubble, with a brick gable end on the right, a thatched roof, and brick stacks at the ends. The structure is one storey with an attic. The central entrance features a plain board door, flanked by a three-light and a two-light small-paned casement window, both set beneath a single timber lintel. The thatch is lifted over two two-light small-paned iron-framed gudgeon-hung casement windows, creating a wide eyebrow effect. There are round wall-tie ends visible. At the rear, there is a 19th-century wing, along with a small addition on the right that has vertically boarded slate roofing. A slate-roofed lean-to addition is positioned at the angle between the main block and the rear wing. Inside, the right-hand room on the ground floor features a chamfered cross beam with run-out stops.
