Description

No. 31 is a cottage dating from the 17th to 18th century, constructed from coursed limestone rubble with a thatched roof and brick stacks at each end. The building is one storey with an attic, featuring quoins on the right side. The ground floor includes a three-light and a two-light iron-framed gudgeon-hung casement window, both with wooden lintels. Above, there is a similar two-light casement window in an eyebrow dormer. The left gable end shows evidence of rebuilding and heightening. The entrance is located in the right gable end, featuring a 20th-century door. At the rear, there is an old brick lean-to addition. The interior has not been inspected.
