Description
The Dairy Farmhouse is a farmhouse that likely dates from the 17th century and was altered in the 19th century. It is constructed of coursed limestone rubble with ashlar dressings and features a thatched roof with coped gables, kneelers, finials, and moulded stone ridge stacks. The building has one storey and an attic, consisting of a main block and a gabled cross-wing.
The main block includes a central gabled porch with a Tudor-arched entrance, which contains a 19th-century door featuring Gothick tracery and a mask surrounded by leaves. On either side of the porch, there are three-light mullioned windows with cornices. Above these, there are two gabled half-dormers, each with two-light mullioned windows and cornices, along with shields above them.
The cross-wing has a three-light mullioned window on the ground floor and a two-light window above, with a shield in the gable. The left gable end features a canted bay on the ground floor and a two-light mullioned window above, along with a shield in the gable. Most of the glazing is diamond lattice. The interior has not been inspected.
