Description
The gates and attached gatepiers located approximately 10 meters east of Duddington Manor are likely from the 18th century and were restored in the 19th century. They are made of limestone ashlar and feature wrought-iron gates. The pair of plain gatepiers, which have moulded cornices, are probably from the 18th century and topped with 19th-century ball finials. The wrought-iron gates connect the piers and include side panels and an overthrow that incorporates the Goddard-Jackson crest. These gates and gatepiers are part of the garden layout associated with Duddington Manor, along with an attached wall and pier, and office and outbuildings located approximately 10 meters north of the manor. They are included for their group value.
