Description

The gargoyle, now serving as a churchyard sculpture, is located adjacent to the southwest corner of the vestry of the Church of St. Mary. It is likely from the 14th century and is made of limestone ashlar. The sculpture depicts the head and shoulders of a man, but only the base of the gargoyle remains. It was removed from the church tower following its collapse around 1967.
