Description

The School House, now a residential property, dates from the mid-19th century. It is constructed of regularly coursed ironstone with brick dressings and features a slate roof. The original layout is L-shaped and the building has two storeys. The entrance front consists of two wings, each with a one and a two-window range of 19th-century sash windows that have cast-iron lozenge-shaped glazing bars set beneath shallow brick arches with brick dressings. A 20th-century door with a similar surround is located at the center. There are brick stacks at both ends of the building. The interior has not been inspected. This property is included for its group value.
