Description
Mead's Dairy is a house that also incorporates a shop, likely built in the early 18th century, with later alterations. The building is constructed from coursed limestone rubble with ironstone bands, although the street-facing side has been painted. It features a slate roof and a brick gable end stack. The structure is two storeys tall with an attic, and the main block faces the street with a lower wing to the left. The main block's gable end has two 20th-century two-light casement windows with wooden lintels, a small attic light, and a stone cornice above, which may have originally been a datestone, though it is no longer legible. The wing includes a 20th-century door and shop window, as well as a two-light small-paned casement window with a wooden lintel above. The right side of the main block shows an ironstone band and irregular casement windows with wooden lintels. There is a low addition at the rear of the building. The interior has not been inspected.
