Description

Doddington Barn is a field barn dating from 1772, as indicated by the datestone. It is constructed of regularly coursed lias and limestone, featuring a roof that is partly covered with plain tiles and partly with corrugated asbestos sheet. The barn is a single unit with a central cart entrance and a small door at the rear. There is a hayloft door located on the right gable. The gable ends have ashlar parapets and kneelers, with some parts renewed in brick. The interior of the barn retains its original trusses.
