Description
No. 5 Robbs Lane is a house dating from the early 18th century. It is constructed from regular coursed and squared limestone and features a thatch roof. The house originally had a three-unit plan and is a single storey with an attic. The front has a three-window range of plain casements, some of which have been renewed, all set under wooden lintels. There are two eyebrow dormers in the attic. A 20th-century door is located to the far left, also under a wooden lintel. The house has brick stacks at the ridge and end. Inside, there are remains of an open fireplace and a moulded spine beam in the rooms to the right of the entrance. Some plank doors lead to the attic room, and the original roof structure is still intact. The house is included for its group value.
