Description
No. 18 and 20 on Main Road is a house that has been divided into two dwellings. It dates from the mid to late 18th century and was altered in the 19th century. The building is constructed from squared coursed limestone and has a pantile roof. Originally, it had a three-unit plan and stands two storeys tall. The front features a three-window range with 19th and 20th century casements set under wooden lintels. There are 19th and 20th century doors located at the far left and to the right of the centre, also under wooden lintels. Brick stacks are present at the ridge and ends of the building, and there is a blocked door in the centre. The interior of No. 20 includes spine beams and likely has an open fireplace, which is now blocked. The building was probably converted into three dwellings in the 19th century by the Drayton estate. It is included for its group value.
