Description

Anne Cottage is a 17th-century timber-framed house that has 1 and a half storeys. It was subdivided and refronted in the 19th century with brick, with each half consisting of two bays. The timber framing is exposed at the rear and on the gables. The house features gabled bracket hoods over the doors and cambered openings. The windows include leaded casements, with three lights for No 37 and either two or three lights for No 36. No 37 is refronted in plum brick, while No 36 is in red brick. Gabled dormers are present on the roof. Inside, the ground floor ceilings have large chamfered joists.
