No. 38 is a 16th-century timber-framed house with a 17th-century east bay, located in Latimer Village. The exterior is roughcast with imitation framing on the upper floor and features an old tiled roof. It has leaded casement windows, a central door with a gabled porch supported by paired cast-iron posts, and three 2-light windows, with a 3-light window to the right of the doorway. The first floor has two 2-light windows with eaves breaking the gables. A large 17th-century chimney stack is present in the right-hand additional bay. Inside, the ground floor has a chamfered spine beam with moulded stops that runs across the ceiling of both left-hand bays.
