Description

The seat, steps, pool surround, and attached pergola at Woodside Junior School were constructed between 1956 and 1957 as part of a project by the Ministry of Education. The seat has a brick base and is topped with concrete paving slabs, which are also used for the rectangular pool surrounds and the steps. The pergola features metal posts that support a timber framework. Together, these elements create an important visual feature in the courtyard of this prototype school.
