Description
Dinton Cottage is a house dating from the 17th century, constructed from witchert that is colourwashed and rendered, featuring masonry scribed lines on the front elevation. It has a rubble plinth and a thatched roof. The building consists of two bays and two storeys with an attic, along with a one-storey hipped roof addition on the left side. On the right side, there is a modern thatched lean-to porch with a single-storey wing at right angles. The front elevation displays a central hipped roof that was once a porch, although the entrance is now blocked. The outer bays feature 3-light diamond leaded casements, while a 2-light window is located above the former porch. The central stack is made of thin brick from the 17th century and has an offset cap, forming a lobby entry plan type. The left gable has brick above the collar and a 4-light gable window, with a 2-light window on the first floor. The right gable also features a 4-light gable window.
