Description
Bridge Number 122 on the Grand Union Canal is a canal bridge built around 1839. It is constructed of brick and features a parapet with a band course and segmental brick coping. The bridge has square-plan end piers topped with stone coping. It includes two depressed arches, one of which is now redundant as it was originally built to cross a narrow duplicate lock that has since been filled in. This information is referenced in A.H. Faulkner's book, "The Grand Junction Canal," published in 1972.
