Description

Lock Number 34 on the Grand Union Canal is a canal lock built around 1800, with later repairs. It features brick retaining walls topped with stone coping. The lock has two pairs of gates equipped with sluices and winding gear, with the quoins dated 1860 and 1898. Additionally, there are cast iron bollards and a pair of side ponds, also with sluices and winding gear, dated 1864.
