Description

Lock 35 on the Grand Union Canal is a canal lock built around 1800, with some later repairs. It features brick retaining walls, some of which are rendered, and has stone coping. There are two pairs of gates equipped with sluices and winding gear, with the quoins dated 1881 and 1888. Additionally, there are some cast iron bollards present. The lock also includes a pair of side ponds that have sluices and winding gear, which are dated 1879.
