Description
The Windmill is a post-mill built in 1627 and 1749, which underwent significant alterations and restoration in 1963. It features a circular base made of 19th-century whitewashed brick topped with a shallow conical roof covered in metal sheets. The structure has two doors, and the timber-framed and weatherboarded chamber above has a curved roof. It includes double board doors with a board hood supported by shaped brackets, as well as a small board door leading to the loft. On the sail side of the chamber, there is a central post with a moulded wooden bracket. The windmill is equipped with four sails, a tail pole with a wooden wheel, and a wide wooden step ladder. The internal machinery, which is likely from the 19th century, remains intact but has been restored.
