Description

Ivy Cottage is a small house dating back to the 17th century, with later additions from the 19th and 20th centuries. The original 17th-century section has a gabled front facing the road and is constructed with a timber frame filled with brick, topped with a half-hipped thatched roof. A red brick extension was added in the early 19th century, also with a thatched roof and a brick chimney on its left side. The cottage is one storey high with an attic. The 17th-century bay has a paired casement window on the ground floor, a three-light casement window in the attic, a 20th-century door, and a single light window within a tiled 20th-century lean-to on the left. The 19th-century bay features a single casement window and a paired casement window on the ground floor front, and a paired attic casement window in the gable end. All windows are 20th-century leaded casements.
