Description
Longdown Farmhouse is a house dating from the early to mid-18th century that has been altered and extended. It is built of red and vitreous brick in English bond, with some areas patched with later brick and the first floor rendered and colourwashed. The roof is covered with old tiles, and the chimney has been removed from the right end. The building has an L-plan layout, with two storeys and an attic, featuring three bays. The old three-light leaded casements include internally moulded mullions in the centre bay. At the rear of the right bay, there is a short altered wing that has a 20th-century door on the right side, along with 19th and 20th-century extensions beyond that form a U-plan. There are also further 20th-century extensions to the left of the front wing.
