Description
This is a barn with attached stables located immediately west of Dirtywood Farmhouse. The barn dates from the late 18th century and was refurbished in the 20th century. It has a timber frame with 20th-century weatherboard cladding and an old tiled roof. The structure consists of three bays, with the central bay featuring a threshing floor and double doors, which are located to the north in a gabled projection. The barn showcases curved principal trusses with curved braces to the tie beams and shaped jowls on the main posts. The later stable range attached to the west is similar in style but has a lower 20th-century tiled roof, one board door, and one stable door.
