Description
Home Lodge is a lodge built in 1838 by E.B. Lamb. It is constructed of brick with stone dressings and features fishscale tile roofs, stone coped gables, and square brick chimney shafts, with one pair of shafts set diagonally. The building is designed in a Tudor style and is one storey high.
The north front has two bays, with the left bay featuring a gable and a 3-light leaded window that has a taller central light, along with a stone plaque displaying a coat of arms above it. The right bay is slightly set back and includes a projecting porch at the angle with the left bay. This porch is gabled at the front and has a 4-centred stone arch with moulded spandrels and a hoodmould. The right end of the lodge has a projecting bay with a gable and a 3-light transomed casement window. At the rear, there are small irregular wings, one of which has a gable facing the road, while the other is two storeys high.
