Description

This is a milestone located 18 miles from London, which is marked on a map from 1799. It is made of squared stone and features a pyramidal top. The inscriptions on the milestone include "Uxbridge 3" facing the road, "London 18 Oxford 36 Beaconsfield 5" facing east, and "18 miles from London" facing west. In 1994, the milestone was turned 90 degrees due to resurfacing work on the pavement.
