Description

Wardrobes House is an early 19th-century house located in Lacey Green. It is constructed of red and vitreous brick, notable for narrow vertical channels flanking the central bay. A band course runs across the first floor, with recessed panels in the centre. The roof is slate, hipped, with brick chimneys. The building follows a double pile plan, with two storeys and three bays. It has 3-pane sash windows, each with a flat brick arch, the ground floor windows being taller than those above. The altered doorway in the centre bay features a wide, flush-panelled door and flanking narrow sashes. A wooden porch with a flat entablature supported by fluted Tuscan columns is present. The left side of the house retains five bays of original sashes with narrow glazing bars.
