Description
Stocken Farmhouse is a house dating from the late 17th century to early 18th century, with alterations made around 1840 and extensions added in the 19th and 20th centuries. It features whitewashed render over brick and a 20th-century tiled roof, topped by a tall central brick chimney. The building has two storeys and an attic, with three bays of four-pane sash windows. The central lobby entry is located in a whitewashed porch that has a shallow gable and a slate roof, leading to a flush-panelled door surrounded by minimal pilasters and an entablature. There are paired barred wooden attic casements in the gables. To the right, there is a small 20th-century brick extension set back from the main structure. The rear of the farmhouse includes a narrow gabled staircase bay at the centre, a gabled projection to the left, and a 20th-century single-storey extension with a flat roof.
