Description

This urn, located approximately 70 metres south of The Aviary in the grounds of Waddesdon Manor, dates from the early 17th century and is of Netherlandish origin. It is made of carved marble and features relief scenes depicting the Ages of Man, which represent an Allegory of Time. The urn has a carved cover topped with a flame finial. It stands on a 19th-century splayed stone pedestal that includes moulded panels and a cornice.
