WADDESDON WADDESDON MANOR GROUNDS Set of four statues at corners of fountain terrace.

GV II Four large statues. Mid C18, Italian. Carved marble. Four goddesses:

a) at north east corner, draped, with garland and wreath of laurel. b) at south east corner, partially draped, holding ball, compasses and lilies. c) at south west corner, nude, holding a small cup and a short staff. d) at north west corner, nude, holding a small bunch of flowers.

Each statue has square stone C19 pedestal with moulded base, panels and cornice. (Catalogue Nos. 79-82)
